Codenames, the multiple award winning social word game, is becoming an even “bigger” hit! Introducing Codenames XXL. This doubel sized version of the spiel des jagres 2016 winner is ready to be enjoyed by larger groups, it provides easier visibility with all the fun of the original.

Twice as big, which means double the size of the box and cards. Those hoping we would double the size of the timer for more time to think will be disappointed.
Just imagine you want to play Codenames with as many people as possible. Now everyone will see better thanks to the bigger word cards. That’s pretty handy, isn’t it?

It is also nice to be able to play an award winning game that crosses generations. Was “Fun” meant for Clown or Library? Hard to tell, but, it is that good to know that people will read words on the larger cards much easier. No more misreading DESERT for DESSERT.

Codenames XXL edition provides all of the components nicely sorted in a special insert created for this and the other games from the planned XXL product line.

Codenames is a 2015 party card game designed by Vlaada Chvátil and published by Czech Games Edition. Two teams compete by each having a “spymaster” give one-word clues that can point to multiple words on the board. The other players on the team attempt to guess their team’s words while avoiding the words of the other team. Codenames received positive reviews and won the 2016 Spiel des Jahres award for the best board game of the year.
