Dixit: Odyssey is a standalone expansion to the original Dixit game, designed by Jean-Louis Roubira and published by Libellud. The game is a storytelling and deduction game in which players use cards to describe abstract concepts and guess what other players are describing.
Players: 3-12
Age: 8 and up
Playtime: 30-60 minutes
Objective:
The objective of Dixit is to score points by correctly guessing which card another player is describing or by having other players correctly guess your own card. Players use creative clues to describe their cards, using words, phrases, or even gestures, to convey their meaning.
Gameplay:
In Dixit: Odyssey, players take turns as the Storyteller, who selects a card from their hand and gives a clue that describes it. The other players then select a card from their own hands that they believe matches the clue given by the Storyteller, and place it face down on the table.
All cards are then shuffled and revealed, and the players must guess which card belongs to the Storyteller. Points are awarded based on how many players correctly guessed the Storyteller’s card, as well as how many players guessed incorrectly.
Dixit: Odyssey introduces new cards with new illustrations and themes, inspired by different cultures, myths, and legends from around the world. The expansion adds new layers of creativity and imagination to the game, challenging players to come up with even more unique and creative clues.
Dixit: Odyssey is a fun and engaging game that encourages creativity, imagination, and deduction skills. With its simple rules, high replayability, and unique gameplay mechanics, Dixit: Odyssey is an excellent choice for fans of party games or those looking for a fun and engaging way to pass the time with friends and family.
